  17. Sorry if this is a repost, but it hasn't left my regular machine yet
  18. and time is short.... :-(

  20. I have not yet seen this problem (I'm driving out there tomorrow)
  21. but someone's told me of a problem with MSKermit (3.14) when running
  22. over a Wide Area Network (telnet sessions into a UNIXWare Box) --
  23. the session simply hangs after around 5-10 minutes.

  25. At this point it seems unlikely that the routers are at fault (other
  26. Terminal emulators don't seem to hang) and it's not an obvious
  27. compatability problem between Kermit and UNIXWare as the Local PCs
  28. don't hang.

  30. DOS is likely to be the latest(ish) 6.2? and I know that it's a raw
  31. Packet Driver interface (either NE2000 or DE220 - Dlink drivers)
  32.  
  33. WAN consists of Motorola (Vanguard??) Routers running IP over 64K
  34. lines.  LANs are plain (coax?) ethernet.

  36. I cannot reproduce the problem here on my PC over a WAN to a Solaris
  37. box.

  40. well as any newpostings as I'll be out in the bundu with a
  41. cell-phone modem [pretty dodgy :-( ])
